Individual School Technology Planning Annual
planning for technological needs involves interrelated processes
throughout the district. Each School Improvement Team will identify
indicators within their goals which address the role of technology in
Teaching and Learning, Communication, Data Management and Emerging
Technologies. All recommendations concerning technology should thoroughly consider:- The
goals, objectives, rationale, strategies, timelines, indicators, and
benchmarks that will advance teaching and learning through the use of
the technology.
- An analysis of the hardware, software, training, and maintenance that the proposed technology will require.
- How the new technologies will be used to upgrade or to expand existing technologies interface with the current infrastructure.
- The cost of the proposed expansion.
- The
potential sources of funding including the use of federal (E-Rate
funding program), state, and district funds, PTG funds, grants, other
sources, and the evaluation method(s) used to determine the
effectiveness of the acquired technologies.
